    • Ian, I was not expecting this to open another browser windows! is that it's intent? I was looking for a window that would hover over the existing page. that I could close after viewing.
    • Yes this is the way it's supposed to work. JavaScript pop-up windows have always worked this way. I think you may be w2anting what is called a 'modal dialog' which can be done fairly easily with jQuery. The following link should help.

Maybe I should create an add-in for this.
    • I should have said 'dialog' not 'modal dialog'. The modal version is one where you typically darken and disable the main screen behind the dialog. Both can be created with the jQuery method described in the link I gave above.
  • What Insert Menu?

    • Ian, this one is not working in my xweb4sp2. Add-in installs without alarms going off but there is no feature to use.
    • Hi, The Pop Up Window command gets added to the main Insert menu at the top of the EW window, next to 'View'.
  • Linking from an Image

    • How do I link from an image? There is no option for this and keeps on asking me to enter the link text.
    • Hi, you need to select the image before adding the pop up window. Select the image in Design view and then use 'Insert - Pop-Up Window'. (When you do this the 'Link text' field will be disabled and say 'Not required for an image link'.

    • Hi,
Can you put an example page somewhere on your website that I can look at?

I do not have the site up yet. I just need to get the popup to a 4x4 pic size right above the thumbnail.
    • Hi. Pop-Up position is always relative to the top left of the browser window, not the link or image that is clicked to get the pop-up.

      Thank you for the reply.
