Written May 03, 2012Ian: Download, install and test worked quite nicely. Just one question: my source Word document includes text with Number Bullets. Word Paste handled it and keeps the indentations aligned. Only problem is that the bulleted numbers (Tahoma in source doc) appear to be a different font following Word Paste into WE4 (Times New Roman?). Also WE4 does not allow me to change the number bullet font and adds new numbers when I try to edit. Otherwise, the result looks good. Thanks

Written May 04, 2012Hi, I'll take a look at this and see if it can be improved. Thanks for the feedback. Ian

Written May 04, 2012OK, just taken a look at this. The font from the Word doc won't get carried over and the text will need reformatting in EW. This is largely intentional because we have to strip all the Word 'rubbish' out, and this includes any font definition. (You might also have chosen a strange font in Word that isn't used on the web). The numbered list is something I can't replicate at the moment, simply because I've updated to EW V4 SP2 and use the newer version of the add-in. In this newer version the list gets copied over as paragraph tags with numbers, eg <p>1. First item</p><p>2. Second item</p>. This isn't ideal but in fcat different versions of Word generate different code for lists and make it more awkward to handle. I will see if I can set up a system with V4 SP! and try the older version of the add-in. Hope this helps! Ian

Written April 30, 2011I've installed the add-in OK, but, how do I use it? I can't see an explanation of what option to use to paste from word using this!

Written May 01, 2011Steve, Having installed the add-in you should see an icon on the standard toolbar, alongside the normal paste icon, as shown above. Click this icon to 'paste from Word'.

Written February 23, 2011Hello Ian, Hello Ian, Thank you for the new version. I've just removed the old and installed the new. Appreciate the effort you have freely given to improve this addin. Afraid this post is duplicated. I did the original as a reply to discussion, which on reflection wasn't appropriate. So here is the same post as 'start a discussion.' Regards - Andrew C.

Written February 02, 2011Hi Ian, The add-in works nicely, but seems to remove some uppercase letters. I am using Word 2010. I am guessing that it is the uppercase letter that are created by word. For example, if you type a lower case i at the beggining of a sentance, word will correct that to an "I" I am guessing that those instances of corrections are being stripped out. This is sort of a problem Peter

Written September 30, 2010Hi Ian, Well, maybe it's me...neither of the links in that post will open. But the link on RHS with a hyphen between ew and resource does work. Regards -Andrew C.

Written September 30, 2010Andrew, It's not you..... The missing hyphen, which I hadn't spotted, is the clue. They point to my local server. Whoops. Many thanks for letting me know.

Written September 30, 2010Heh, heh... wouldn't you know it. I spot this just moments after filing a suggestion at Connect to add Paste Text to the right-click menu in EW5 (or any EW4 interim release). ;-) Oh, well, that still might come in handy for folks who paste formatted text from other sources besides Word... Thanks, Ian; going to download and install now... cheers, scott

Written February 02, 2011@Petersocal Hmmm, then that means if I inadvertently misspell a word and Word 2010 fixes it, I may get the misspelling anyway. Not good.
