  • Slapshot now only works with Chrome

    • The Expression Web SP2 update and the new version of the Windows Phone emulator mean that Slapshot now only works with Chrome (assuming you have it installed).

This is still useful because it gives mobile preview sizes that are not available in SuperPreview or Snapshot.
    • Should have said, 'assuming you have Chrome Frame installed'.
  • Can't install it

    • Sounds cool, I can download it but I run Windows 7 and the error message says Windows does not recognize the file. This is the first time I'm trying to install an add-in...please advise
    • Nevermind, figured it out! Going to check it out

I seem to be missing something when it comes to downloading the xul-sdk files.

      - I go to http://releases.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/xulrunner/releases/

      - I select 5.0/, then SDK/, then select xulrunner-5.0.en-US.win32.sdk.zip

-Extract the zip file into my Downloads folder

Am I downloading the correct file? Nowhere is there a mozctl.dll in any of the folders, including the various bin folders created when unzipped.

Step 3 (in the initial version of slingshot) says to: Start a command prompt as an administrator and change to the bin subdirectory where you unzipped the XUL SDK.
Is there a bin file I am supposed to unzip the file to?
I was able to start the command prompt and navigate to the files I downloaded, but there is no Mozctl.dll anywhere.

Seems I have taken the wrong turn somewhere?

    • Sadly they removed the control :(
      See:

But the older XUL works, you can downlaod it here:
      http://releases.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/xulrunner/releases/1.9.2.18/sdk/

    • Thanks! Now it works, even though I get the following dialog when I register the dll: dllregisterserver in mozctl.dll failed. return code was: ox8002801.c
  • Problem

    • I have IE9 RC installed and Firefox 4b12 installed.

The slapshot in EW4 is not working. It asks for the resolution, browser (only lists IE and Firefox 3?). But nothing shows up after I click F12.
    • Do you get amy messages? You do need to configure the dev server and run it once for SlapShot to work.
